The land of Israel is pious. It has been associated with many religions but significantly with Christianity, Islam and Judaism. It is the land flowing with milk and honey because of its agricultural abundance. Situated in the Eastern part of the Mediterranean Sea and surrounded by Egypt, Jordan, Syria and Lebanon.
The country is a favourite amongst pilgrims, art lovers, and people who just love to live a life of adventure. The country's history is vast and rich and dates back to before the biblical times. The earliest recognizable records that have found mention of Israel are the Outdated Testament. Israel really is the land of wondrous culture while at the same time offering modern-day activities such as hiking, sports and deep-sea diving.
Every cultural enthusiast who visits Israel needs to place a visit to Old Jerusalem. The sights, smells, tastes and the sounds of the city are beyond divine and enthralling. It is the home to the three monotheistic religions of the world. Reminiscing with the past are the shops, the streets full of vendors, shoppers and pedestrians; they surely will fill your memories for a lifetime. Garden Tomb and The Western Wall are the two main tourist attractions of this region.

In contrast, New Jerusalem is both secularly and religiously modern. New Jerusalem is not only the centre of government and the cultural hub but it is filled with bristling restaurants, markets and boutiques. The Biblical Zoo, the Dead Sea Scrolls at the Israel Musuem, and the Mahane Yehuda market are some of the must visit attractions of New Jerusalem.
Another place that needs to be a must visit in your itinerary would be Nazareth. It is famously known as the birthplace of Jesus Christ. This is the place where the angels told Virgin Mary that she would bear the son of the Almighty. But the history of the place is not just restricted to this reference. It is also the place of Mount Precipice which in the biblical context was the cliff from where Jesus Christ was going to be thrown of by an angry crowd. Going further south of Nazareth, one will find the largest church of the Middle East region otherwise known as the Church of Annunciation which contains the mosaic artwork of Jesus and Virgin Mary from all over the world.
Next stop in Israel would be the Dead Sea. The most amazing thing about this sea is its high salt content due to which anyone who goes into the sea will not drown but instead float. This sea is also devoid of any marine life because of the immense salty nature of the water. It is believed that the salt in this sea has healing abilities and many people who suffered from eczema have claimed that their skin was healed by the water of this sea.
Israel is truly a land of splendor and the country allows its tourists to relax on its magnificent beaches and vast coral reefs. The tourists also get to do activities like cycling, hiking, and rappelling to keep their adventure spirits high.
